This policy explains what personal data SL PEOPLE collects through sl-people.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. It is written with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data in mind.

We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

What we collect

When you send us a brief. The proposal form asks for your name, email address, company, event date, number of participants and a message about your event. It also records which page of the site you sent it from. Name, email and message are required; everything else is optional.

When you visit the site. Like almost every website, our server automatically records technical information about each request: your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We use it only to keep the site secure and working.

We do not ask for payment details, identity documents or any sensitive personal data through this website.

Why we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal for your event.
• To keep a record of our correspondence with you.
• To protect the website against abuse and to fix technical problems.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and tracking

The public part of this website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

The administration area, used only by our team, sets strictly necessary cookies to keep staff signed in.

Services we rely on

To run the site and answer you, we use a small number of service providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

• Website hosting. Our server is located in Germany, in the European Union. Form submissions and server logs are stored there.
• Email delivery. Resend delivers the notification about your enquiry to our mailbox. We use its European region.
• Business email. Your enquiry and our correspondence with you are kept in our business mailbox, hosted by an external email service provider.
• Fonts. The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page opens, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and browser information. See Google's privacy policy.
• Embedded videos. If a page contains a video from YouTube or Vimeo, that provider receives your IP address when the video loads. YouTube videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode.

Because these providers are located outside the UAE, using them means your data is transferred abroad.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Server logs: 14 days.
• Backups: database backups are kept for 14 days, so deleted data disappears from them within that period.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete your data;
• stop or restrict using it, or object to how we use it;
• withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Write to katrin@sl-people.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.

Security

The site works only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Enquiries can be viewed only by our team, through a password-protected administration area.

Children

Our services are designed for companies and their employees. This website is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
